Sadness, Anger, Disappointment
Sadness, anger, disappointment she felt
When she found him with another
She barely knew of their relationship.
Sorrowed, aggravated, disheartened she was
When she found him with another
She asked herself if she was ugly.
Sorrowed, aggravated, disheartened she was
She saw him hugging and kissing the another
She asked herself if she was ugly.
She wanted to confront the couple
She saw him hugging and kissing the another
She felt he forgot their relationship.
She wanted to confront the couple
To condemn the man, and fight the woman
She felt he forgot their relationship.
Sadness, anger, disappointment she felt.
Know Thy Self
Hm, if I could do it all over again-
Who the hell wants to repeat that mess?
I could think of a couple things I’d do differently-
Like not crawl out of the womb?
But all in all, I think everything turned out about right.
Ya never won the lottery didja sport?
The joys and scintillation of that inner dialogue.
“Oh sake can you see...”
Getting to know and understand myself
“By the dawn’s early light...”
Feeling the confidence and pride that comes with perseverance
“What so proudly...”
Toward finding that timid inner child
Skip it, “THE BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR...”
Love, love will keep us together.
Yeah? Listen buddy, if’n I had it to do all over again, I’d of ditched your ass on beat one.
I’m sensing some passive aggressive hostility
Yeah?
Well, it seems that way
Must be the bag of greasy coney dogs ya ate at the carnival last night or somethin’
Well all this talk of reliving my life has got my stomach a bit queasy, I’ll take a Bromo-Seltzer.
Yeah, you be sure an’ do that.
The Truth of A Lie.
Truth itself is relative.
Only told by those who live.
Truth for one is but a lie.
Leaving some to wonder why.
To the victor goes the spoil.
The defeated only foil.
After all they are who write.
History for which we fight.
There is always truth in lie.
Like the birds are in the sky.
Lie alone cannot exist.
Because from the truth they twist.
There is but one truth in life.
One that will lead to no strife.
Everything is but a lie.
How I know that makes you sigh.
Truth is not something that's said.
Or carried along the dead.
Truth is something that you find.
In the recess of your mind.
You will not find complete truth.
Sitting in a diner booth.
For that truth cannot be found.
Until we are heaven-bound.
Humans lie it's their essence.
They won't have acquiescence.
So you ask me what is truth?
Like there is such thing as sooth.
For there is no truth from lie.
Even as they wander by.
Truth is something that you chose.
Based on voices of those whose.
Are the loudest.
The War of the (Right) Ring (Wing)
If J.RR. Tolkien were alive today and had witnessed the political events which have unfolded, and seem to be the gathering clouds of a civil war in the USA, he might’ve written a tale that started out like this, with apologies again, to J.R.R.Tolkien for this piece of obvious humor from “The Hobbit”
...In a hole in the ground there lived some Republicans. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole, it was a Republican-hole, and that means it was filled with delusions of a stolen election, the support for a traitorous former president, and white privileged comfort which they wrapped comfortably around themselves, within their hole in the Capitol.
Deeper down in another dark chamber lived old Mitch McConnell, a small slimy creature. I don't know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Mitch - as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little gavel, and he waved it about quietly in the Capitol; for Capitol it was, wide and deep and deadly cold. He waddled around with large feet dangling over the side of his podium, but never a sound did he make. Not he. He was looking out of his pale lamp-like eyes for blind Democrats, which he grabbed with his long, thin fingers as quick as thinking. He liked meat too. Children he thought good, when he could get them; but he took care they never found him out. He just throttled them from behind, if they ever came down alone anywhere near the edge of the Senate chamber, while he was prowling about. They very seldom did, for they had a feeling that something unpleasant was lurking down there, down at the very roots of the Capitol.
Escalation

I know, I shouldn’t have
But I did it anyway
Perhaps I might apologize
But I won’t do that today
I didn’t do anything really wrong
It was not about the laws I broke
He swung at me first
So I hit that angry bloke!
So next time you take a swing at me
Consider my black eye
I might not be as careful
One of us might die
BAM
Yahweh /
crystal raindrops on windowpanes
sweet spring breezes perfumed honeysuckle and rose
new moon skies sprinkled silver with starlight
maple leaves of amber floating on an east autumn wind
book pages tacked onto yellow walls
pinky promises laced with elementary secrets
frost like angel wings veiling muddied gardens
rose petals pressed between softcover stanzas
and you,
made in the image of
the magnificent Maker of rain
the wondrous Whisperer of winds
the star-breathing, moon-molding Artist
the Shifter of seasons
the awe-inspiring Author behind every story
the perfect Keeper of Promises
the divine Decorator of this desert land
the patient Caretaker of creation
He who exhaled the universe into existence
and still desires your heart;
Yahweh.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
