It all fades into nothing,

shadows in the darkness,

no matter how awful, or wonderful,

or immense it may seem.

When you look back on life

The most damning speeches are but

whispers lost on the western winds,

And the most destructive explosions

as powerful as a butterfly's wings.

As all things must,

this too shall pass,

another story, myth, legend

forgotten through time.

you.

your lies.

the wounds they left.

the salt you poured on them.

the pain that coursed through my nerves.

the smirk on your face as you swaggered away.

this too shall pass.

This too shall pass,

as everything else does.

In the end,

did the storm clouds stay?

did the large waves continue?

probably not,

they probably,

as most things

most negative things,

do,

they passed,

vanished,

from the thin air.

I know that right now,

the pain,

the stress,

the sadness,

heart break,

may feel immortal,

constant,

forever,

but it’s not,

it will pass.

it will be okay.

So remember,

this

too

shall

pass.

Many parts of the economy are at standstill.

Unemployment is higher than many can remember it ever having been.

So, too, the national debt has attained levels never before seen as paper no longer backed by gold is infused with hopeful value and spent ostensibly to minimize the suffering of a people wondering how to pay a mortgage, or rent or grocery bills while quietly lining the pockets of businesses…too big to fail.

People are angry and scared. They can’t breathe either because of mandatory masks or societal ills that maim, choke and kill.

Coronavirus cases and deaths continue to soar while people fight over the right not to wear a mask as much of the rest of the world looks on, bewildered, astonished, and perhaps with a sense of superiority as their numbers go down while America’s myriad socioeconomic and poltical issues pile up.

The load may seem heavy, unbearable; the near future may appear dark and hopeless.

But, like all things in life, good or bad, this too, shall pass.

This too will pass

Someday it will become a distant memory

Never forgotten

A learning experience

A growth experience

In less than hundred years there will be no one alive to remember

Diseases generally don’t make history books

This happened before with the 1918 influenza

It was forgotten as soon as possible

Maybe this time would have been less of a trial if we knew it happened before

More recently than the great plague of London in 1664

Young hearts, do not despair.

I have loved you since before time.

Young one, do not falter on this path I have designed.

Little Ones, though you cry, I have not forgotten any promise I have made.

Like the dawn must behold a dark hour, so too must My people.

I have not forsaken you, nor your pain. I hear you.

I Am there if you but allow Me to be.

I Am there if you but permit Me to heal.

Here I Am, like the dawn you wearily wake to.

Be not afraid.

Each time you recall them it will hurt, an ache budding from deep roots that can never be removed. Every time you remember their laugh, every time you recollect a long past conversation, a favorite memory, a treasured embrace; you will long for them, seek some sort of reprieve. To think that the world goes on to turn without them will ravage you, when you let it. But this too, shall pass.

It may never heal, not completely, but the scar will become a part of you. When it does, you will see that these pain riddled memories are gifts. You will know that the more painful the recollection, the more valuable the moment. Cling to that value, rather than the pain. Memorize the message, the humor, the lessen or love you received rather than the departure. In doing so you allow whosoever passed to remain with and help to make you stronger, rather than condemn them to become the shackle and fetter that drug you into darkness.
