Love Divine
His hand rested on her very own
He squeezed it & leaned closer
To kiss her warm cheek
Whispered in her ear:
‘’If I could explore one place
With the time that I have left
I would spend it to savor every
Curve of your body~ ready
To wander & be in awe at the beauty Bestowed upon you by the gods.’’

Where the real me resides
Cold,
Bleak.
Definitley not an ideal place for me.
But there I am.
At the bottom of an abyss.
Crying out,
My screams rattle my bones.
My words echo off of the sides of the walls.
A puddle of my tears,
Sloshing around my feet.
The drip,
Drip,
Drip,
As my tears roll off of my face.
This is where the real me resides,
Desperate to be free.
I'd like to see it all,
I'd like to save her.
I'd like to close off that abyss,
So that I can finally breathe.
If I Could Explore One Place
It would be space. But not the moon as that has been done and re-done. I’m talking about setting foot on a planet no one has yet to do. Mars, Venus, Saturn, any of those three. Take photographs, bring back artifacts such as bits of rocks, dust, or dirt, perhaps find some form of vegetation growth. That would be amazing to find a plant life. It could lead to an alternate source of food, or energy, or who knows, a second home?
The one place I’d explore...
would be the past. I would jump in my time machine and start in the 1920's. Of course, I'd only stay for a bit, hitting up a few swing dances and a speakeasy. Then, I would travel to the 1950's. The music and the morals of a time where people spoke decently in public would be a refreshing change of pace. No era was ever perfect, but we can easily take for granted the times where we thought things were tough. Note to self: twenty years from now is not looking too promising.
Future
I want to sit by the lakeside and stare into the future. Who knows what's there. I'm not sure I'm ready to visit the future just yet. It'll be here soon enough.
I don't want to go into the past either. There are too many scary things I've seen, too many thoughts I'd rather let die in history.
So maybe I'll just explore the present. The lake's edge. The dark trees. The fading stars. Because soon enough, this will be the past. And I'll be in the future.
Terrain.
The one place I’d explore?
My Mind.
I’d dig all the way down
Down…
To the bottom
I’d Stop running
As I always have…
To understand
Me.
Explore the inside of my Mind,
To Learn
To untangle the Knots,
chase down loose ends.
Memorize each road,
Each pothole,
Each tunnel.
Master how to track,
To hunt the Evil living and lurking inside
And
Destroy It.
Or,
call a Truce
Either way,
It falls silent,
And I’d never need
To run again.
Instead,
I could finally
At long last
Live There.
My Mind.
Heaven
Of all the places in existence, I would like to explore Heaven. I want to see my loved ones again and know that they are happy. I want to be happy myself. I want to meet God and ask him all the questions of the universe and what my purpose was in life and would be in death. Most of all, I would like to know that I lived a good enough life, that I was a good enough person, so maybe what I really want to explore is my own soul.
The One Place I’d Like to Explore
Imagine a quiet spot in nature not yet disturbed by human made noises. An area occupying those sounds known only to nature itself. Winds through the trees, birds chirping, small animals crunching over the fallen leaves, water trickling down a stream, maybe the splatter of rain or the rumble of thunder are all that can be heard. A place of quiet solitude allowing the mind to be free. A place of peace.
