Soulmates
Knitted together
by light of the moon,
my eyes strained
to reach your soul,
two magnetized spirits
drawn together
forming one mind
in deep purple shadows.
I laid my hands
upon your heart
to grasp the light,
ignited in flames,
overcome by awareness
we had been soulmates
since beginning of time.
Steaminess was drawn
from our core as
love unfolded like
thawing ice pressed
between pages of books.
Scent of you clung
to my skin as
we pulsed in the joy
of blue sapphire night.
Hearts tied together
in cottony cloud,
stitched in sync
with euphony of love,
destined to meet.
We were destined to meet...
Or so I thought
Forgetting who I was
and got to caught up.
My body and soul
overflowing with emotions
Another one lost....
Was never mine....
Fate fell short yet another time....
drop
me
to
the
ground
It was great while it lasted....
Mind off in the clouds....
Till dark clouds were casted....
Time
to
come
back
down~
Reality Bites....
"Serendipitous," I said, "Our meeting."
Her Bulgarian eyes flashed their murky depths and replied, "What is this word?"
I repeated it. She rolled the word around with her tongue a few times before asking, "What does this word mean?"
"It means 'by chance'," was the best I could describe it.
She smiled at this and her eyes thinned and her thin lips curled and she raised a shot glass filled with golden liquid. "To serendipitous," she toasted.
I raised my own and we gazed in each others eyes as we tapped bar with glass and drank. The burn was sharp but we held our gaze an eternal tick.
The bar was closing down and the final strains of Let's Dance began again.
Her face became dreamy. "You have the saddest eyes." She indicated one with a fingertip.
"Put on your red shoes."
And we left serendipity sleeping at the bar.
For We Are Indeed Destined To Meet!
I look forward
To meeting you,
For we are indeed,
Destined to meet.
They'll dress me in my finest cloth,
Make me up from head to toe!
A face so serene,
To find behind a soul that is sleeping,
All yours for the keeping.
A life plump with pleasure I have lived,
A life so divine I ate it all up,
Lapping the juices from my chin with my tongue,Yes, I took a bite from the fruit called life.
I took delight in every triumph,
I took despair with a grain of salt,
I mixed love in as much as I could,
And I made a life that has been well lived.
Yes,
When we meet,
Oh death my sweet,
I will be ready
And waiting for you,
For we are indeed,
Destined to meet.
Destiny
just learning
then
I bought a
well-thumbed guide
for a dollar
and in charcoal, began
the one with
the exaggerated jaw and
strong brow
came alive in
my hand
somehow and I
tucked it away in my
closet in that little space
my hiding place
and so you seemed
familiar when I first
saw you, shoulder pressed
against the hallway
face partway in shadow
and it wasn't until years later
cleaning out my childhood room
that I unfolded the sketch
and smudgy though it was
recognized your face
and fell in love
all over again
The day I met Death
He was nothing at all like his dark depictions
With compassionate eyes of purple and blue
A look that promised to removed all my afflictions
He took my hand into his and my calmness grew
I should have felt scared as we entered this place
With its dazzling skies on twisted lightning seas
But I felt a stillness, as I looked upon his immortal face
Such human features, but an inhuman ability to create ease
And just as gently and as swiftly as he did appear
He left, but not before whispering one last thing
We were destined to meet and now I leave you here
To live your life in the death that I did bring
Nothing is certain, but we all shall one day meet our death
And then he was gone, I was gone and so was my last breath
You and I
You the moon
and I the ocean tide
our love the shore where each combine and then collide
You the sun
and I the sheltered seed
our love the broken soil to where the light would lead
You the music
and I the simple song
our love the everlasting sound that love's contented on
You the heart
and I the steady beat
our love as written, we were destined to meet
Do you believe?
Do you believe in destiny? I never truly did before I met you. It seemed that my life was just kind of in a holding pattern and that all the things that happened just happened. No rhyme or reason behind them. Then one day, you appeared. Out of the clear, blue easy, there you were. And the connection was instantaneous. It was as if it had always been, and would always be. I never believed in destiny before that, and yet, it appears that we were destined to meet and to become the best of friends. Our souls are forever entwined and for that I am forever grateful.
WE
My body aching
Self inflicted madness
Laying in wait
Watching for my prey
Innocently bewildering
Unknowingly calling me to you
Your muffled screams
A high for me
Your panic state
A rush of adrenaline
A fix shooting through my veins
Like pieces of a puzzle
Falling into place
Suffering in silence
While you silently suffer
Curing my disease
Relieving the pain
Your features etched in my head
A lifetime of yearning
Can't you see
"We were destined to meet."
