Home
No place is more like home than,
Me against his heart,
In the warmth of an embrace.
Workout
Tall grasses stretching torsos
exercising limbs
roots remain anchored in ground

Intoxication
Drunk on your cruel charisma
I staggered, and fell
in love, smothered by your spell
Separating Ways
turning verse with quiet ease
at pens lightest touch,
rearranged with aim to please . . .
would it be asking too much,
with you on bent knees,
white-faced - straining in a clutch,
to put end to travesties
we've created? such
release fares well for journeys
newly undertaken. crutch,
lent or found for lease,
unfit prop for broken hutch
Backwards
Writing this haiku feels strange
Like a backwards shirt
Or folding your arms all wrong
Tears Trapped
Music plays loudly by me
Heart pounds in my chest
Why can't I let my tears fall
Haiku?
Dear Haiku, how do you do?
Wait, there's something strange
Deranged little fraud are you!
How could I have ever known
You would bring me to
Tears, without even trying?
Truffles
Round beauty with a soft crunch
Enter the deep taste
with a dark ganache center
Imagine!
My life was assembled of seven syllables
Five of them to heartache
Plussed five and two smiles for crucibles
