What Do I Say?
“How are you doing today?”
>>I’m alright. Thanks for asking... Don’t get asked that question a lot.
“Do you have a favorite animal?”
>>I think I did a good job with the platypus. Humans didn’t even think they were real!
“Have you ever had pizza?”
>>No, but I met the guy who invented them. Did you know he wasn’t even Italian? He was born in Portugal and moved to Italy as a kid!
“Well, glad I could give you a break from the world. Have a good day, God. Hang in there.”
>>Thanks, sweetie.<<
If I, An Atheist, Were to Meet God And Ask Him 3 Questions : And His Responses
Question 1
Me: Are you as homophobic as these religious fanatics claim you are?
God: No. I find that statement completely ridiculous. I wish they’d cut that out and learn to love everyone. Besides, if they can accept me for who I am, they should be able to accept everyone’s sexual orientation. After all, I’m not called an all-loving god for nothing.
Me: Wait- are you...?
God: *Winks*
Question 2
Me: Do you feel comfortable knowing that there are those on this planet that are committing acts of violence, genocide, terrorism, and hate-mongering in your name?
God: No, I am not comfortable at all. Truthfully, I did not wish to be worshipped. I just want to be left alone and doing what I enjoy most, which is creating things.
Question 3
Me: Why don’t you put a stop it all? I mean, no offense, but are you just sitting on your ass the entire time? Do you even care? Is this part of your so-called plan?
God: ... I understand... Believe me, I do understand. I have heard people’s prayers. I have watched them build churches and temples in my honor. I have watched them shed blood and fight wars in my name. I tried being hands on once before. I ended up failing. The more that I tried changing their views, everything stayed the same. I realized that I wasn’t helping, I was enabling. The thing is, my creation, like any child, you can only do so much. You can show them what to do. Intervene if you have to. But sooner or later, you’re gonna have to take a step back and let them grow and learn on their own. They will fall, they will falter, they will stumble. But there are those that will rise. They will stand strong, and they are the ones that will help and defend those that cannot help or protect themselves. Your compassion for others is what makes your species so incredible.
Me: But it doesn’t seem like it has gotten better.
God: From where I stand, I think it has. Progression is a slow process. People won’t like it at first. Villainize it even. But then they start accepting it. Embrassing it. Not just for themselves alone, but for the sake of everyone around them. Blacks, Whites, Christians, Muslims, Hebrews, Satanists, Straights, Gays, police, politicians, you are all different on the outside and act different. Yet you are all still the same on the inside, no matter how much you try to divide and label yourselves. As for my plan, there is none. To have a pre-determined plan or a pre-determined destiny for each individual that is born takes away all sense of free will. You’re looking at the one who invented the phrase ‘Shit Happens’.

One Eve... the Devil tempted me:
“Wouldn’t you like one night
to have with God sssomethinggg like
...an interview? ...to ask a Ttrinity
of inquiries that have plagued us...
since Annntiquity?”
* * *
”...yes, but in exchange for what?” I asked skeptically, reluctant of inadvertently making a deal with Evil.
“Darling, nottthing! this oness’s on meee... conssider it as fffullfilling my curiosssity vicariousssly...” he said wrapping himself like a boa around my knees, sensing no doubt my resistance was weak. ”...steady ourssselvess my sweeet. Well... whattt willll it beee...” he said now whispering right up into my immobilized ear.
“Ok, I’ll meet with God! Three days hence... I need a little time to gather my thoughts,” I said, and was immediately from the strangle hold released—nearly falling from these feet.
“Yessss.... then I’ll ssset you up...” he said stealthily disappearing beneath the Azalea leaves, as I began in cold sweat to think: what would I ask? how? what in the world would it look like, this uncanny scene?
* * *
The appointed day set on the calendar of the Infinite:
I went in like to some confessional dimly lit
with a latticework screen set out between
...just me and one hooded figurine...
* * *
...I bit hard on my tongue so as not to spontaneously squander number one by asking the obvious: “Gawd! why are you so small?” (No bigger than myself even!) ...in my mind that was indeed my very first question. In this confined, hot, shadowed space, I admit I felt as if already on the precipice of Hell.
“God..?” I said timidly disturbing the Silence in the air. “God, why do you hide from us?”
”—Child, in this Infernal, I mean Eternal hide and seek, it is surely not I who hides, but I who seeks... you are forever ducking recognizance as if... but I Am... I am the Abode that you always see, and who always sees. I find you, and call to you, but you do not always answer me... wwhy...? is the Consscience... not clean?”
“God, why do you toy with us?!” was my quick rejoinder, and strike number two. I wasn’t at all impressed by this allusion to fun and games, nor the attempted inversion of the interview...
“Perhaps, you confuse me with the Evil one?” the hooded figure said leaning in real-well. ”...know that I too am fond... of charades, blind-man’s bluff, and musical chairs... ” he said glibly, ”...To keep us entertained.” I thought this very strange. The cloak leaned back a bit:
“And question number three?” he propelled with greediness of ear.
I caught my breath; aiii to have only one more to work with! and nothing answered yet. I noticed at that moment, while looking down, the indent of a slide handle along the screen’s edge. It should open to the left... motionlessly I assessed my chances for the best.
“Well?” he said tapping bony fingers impatiently....
I jumped at the occasion of this slight distraction—
“Is there a Devil?!?” I said, simultaneous throwing open the screen to pull the cloak from the shrouded one. And I’ll be damned! It was a caricature of me. My worst self sat there smuggly and said:
“Haha! my dear, your are talking to your own projection... and see how we are without conviction! and afraid of your Self! irresponsible and... of little Faith! God is everywhere and the language of God is Life; you speak it, hear it, feel it, live it; yet recognize it not for what it is. Doubt is your demon.”
* * *
Laughingstock, my Devil smiled;
saw me look all-over for God, over our shoulder, back to the mirror...
while I called out, and then cried: why?! oh why? ...Is God not in?
but that was... Exactly it... In, Everything, and to the nth degree.

Three Questions and Their Answers
I. Q: Why am I here, on earth?
A: Why not? I made you and you are a wonderful human being full of potential. You have a reason to be on this earth.
II. Q: What's that reason?
A: Life is very short. To a lot of people, it's not longer than a couple of years. For you, you have many years under your belt and you're ready to face the challenges of life. You're already doing many great things. You're changing the world one second at a time. And your just getting warmed up.
III. Q: You've been around since the beginning of the world and You will be around till the end of it. Can You give us any advice, any wisdom?
A: Yes, I am very old and very wise. One thing I have learned is that you do not have to be old to be wise. You can be young and be wise because wisdom is just a more mature point of view. That is My word of wisdom for you, my child.
Coffee with GOD
Me: Why do I deserve this?
God: You don't. Life is unfair. If Life was fair, then there will be no Heaven and you won't be sitting here asking that question. Is it fair to wipe out 99.9% of the previous living beings on Earth to make Humans?
Me: So many people are suffering here on Earth, why don't you help them?
God: To help them is to interfere, to help them would create UNFAIRNESS to others that would also lead to jealousy and hate.
Me: How about people who are dying of hunger and wars?
God: All things are natural. Without Death, there is no Life. Without conflict there would be less or no evolution and improvement. I created you and Life on Earth from the destruction of other lives and from the violence of the cosmos. From your second question, my answer applies to wars fought by your species and from within yourself. I can GUIDE you and your species, but I cannot help.

My three questions to God
Me: Why did my parents get divorced? Why did you let me go through all that pain?
God: Well, I think you know the answer to the first question. You are just hoping it were different. I did not cause you any pain, your circumstances did. If you hadn’t gone through what you did, what would you write about?
Me: Do you really answer prayers?
God: Do you really pray?
Me: Am I living a good life?
God: Are you happy? Can you sleep well at night? Are you healthy? Do you get to eat three meals a day? Do you have people who love you? Are you living in a place where you feel safe? If the answer to most of these questions is yes, then you’re welcome!
God Only Knows
My questions would be:
My Father, Knowing that you know how everything is going to end up,
Was hatred, Murder, Rape, Abduction a key source to make it end up correctly, or was that detoured somehow?
Only he knows the answer, I couldn't possibly try to answer this.
My Father, I feel that your intentions were not to make anyone better or different than anyone else, we were all created equally, I was always told. Yet, our drives, our direction, and our intention are all so totally different. Was this intended to make the world complete?
His answer should be: I created everyone the same, and with the same functions. Delivery always changed my plans, and I only created one color,
all the eyeballs cames through delivery wrong.
My Father, I know with patience I will receive everything intended for me to deliver your word successfully and live the comfortable life intended for me.
But Father, why wasn't I given the patience with an extra dose of understanding to make the transition easier?
His answer would probably be: My child, you will receive all that is intended
for you, sad to say that extra patience is what I should have given you.
Making the world: out of boredom
Me: So what made you want to make this world?
God: (shrugs, or at least that’s what it seems) Do I need a reason for that?
Me:........You kind of need one.
God: This world isn’t made by me. I gave it’s foundation. You made it the way you wanted it to be.
Me: (tilts my head) So, free will then?
God: It’s better than planning. Too boring for me. And plus, you make good television. It’s boring up here.
Me:........Then why not surround yourself with your creations?
God:(wave his hand) I know you from the inside out. I can guess from the distance. And plus, I have to deal with problems that you love to give to me. I do not have the time nor energy to deal with it. It’s better to leave my existence up to debate. At least less people would bother me for their problems.
Me:......*shakes my head in exasperation*
Note:
I don’t want to piss off any religious folks here, so please note that it’s just a literary work that I came up with. I don’t mean any offense.
