Monthly Fantasy Challenge for April.
You found an old copy of On a Pale Horse in your seat on the plane. Weirdly enough, it's leather-bound. You have nothing else to read. When you look up from the book after the plane has hit altitude, you realize you're flying through Hell, not to stay, but to report back. You see billboards and allure, but what's there behind the modernized version, and why the need to advertise? Winner is decided by likes, and will recieve a crisp $10.00 -Take us there...

Monthly Fantasy Challenge for March.
Walking the beach, you're drawn to a legless man staring up at you like he knows you. You've been in a bit of neutral mood lately, not up, not down, but teetering on depression. Everything is just, well, boring. Looking at the people on the promenade: Happy couples, or loners, heads down in their phones, or the occasional mountain bike cop chasing a thief. All of it is a wisp of a fleeting nothing... When you reach down to set some change in the legless man's cup, you see it is full with coffee, and he grabs your wrist, whispering up to you, "Show us, then." When you pull free, you turn around and see nothing, no beach, no people, just a white smear. Back around and down, you see there is no legless man, either. As you look up where you once felt the promenade, your mind makes one appear, and you realize you've been either cursed or gifted to create your own reality. If you don't first think it, it simply will not exist. Bring us with you. Winner is decided by likes, and will recieve a crisp $10.00 -Make it a place to take us.

The Twins
The Servant of Evil is a vocaloid part of the larger Evillious Chronicles, but also makes a succinct and emotional stand-alone story. It depicts the tragic tale of a teenaged queen and her twin brother; conspired to be killed by their own advisors so only one could rule. so the boy is sent to a friend of the royal family and at fourteen Riliane is left at the mercy of the adults to rule. As cruel and spoiled Queen she has no one in her life except a servant who resembles her and through a love affair gone wrong, the land of Green is subject to a genocide by the fourteen year old girl's orders which the people decry as the last straw rising in revolt and calling for their Queen's head. Only for her twin to take her place at the guillotine.
What sort of tale can you come up with? Must include and center around twins. And, I admittedly will favor on those that follow the style of the original song. Which has a fairy-tale like tone to it.

The unseen cost of forest diplomacy
Two ancient civilizations are suddenly at odds over who is to blame for the accidental killing of a lost juvenile Golden Protector wasp in the Taputini Rainforest. These civilizations have lived in relative harmony within their respective villages among the buttress roots of neighboring Kapok trees. _______ Rules were clearly broken--who broke them, and why? What other forest creatures play roles in the civilizations' existence? What do the Golden Protectors protect them from? How will they re-establish the trust of their Protectors and ensure their continued service and loyalty, and at what cost? _______ Extra points for: Biodiversity-- insects, birds, amphibians, birds, etc, ______ Never introducing anything relating to human environmental impact, ______ Links to internet photos along the way-- ie. If you've got a Green Thornytail iguana running notes between characters, try to include a pic, ie. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/green-thornytail-iguana-uracentron-azureum-an-arboreal-species-of-lizard-from-the-amazon-rainforest-and-forests-in-the-guiana-sh--6544361942312160/ ____________________________________ Collaboration is welcome, though you'll have to split up the prize if a team wins. There can only be one winner, but I'm not opposed to making donations to authors with respectable entries, so make a strong effort and let's see what comes of it!
$100.00
Take it your way
Write me a story where an ancient creature - mystical, magical, mythical, legendary, alien - transforms into a human for the first time. The setting is a low-fantasy modern world without an established paranormal/supernatural community.
The Newcomer
You’re a green witch helping a town grow as it overcomes its most recent drought… You’re having a lovely day aiding the townsfolk, until a lonesome warlock stumbles into town, broken and battered. As you attempt to help him, you find he has marks insinuating that he practiced necromancy.
What would you do next?
Fairy Tale Terrors
Rewrite a popular fairy tale but make it much more darker and twisted than the original.

The stories that keep us awake
I can’t be the only one who creates entire novel series in my head before falling asleep right?
So I would like to see what other writers come up with in the wee hours of the night, while desperately trying to sleep. Write about the story (or stories) that keep you from falling asleep at night. You know, the ones you come up with while you’re trying to fall asleep. With the overly complicated plot line, amazing characters, and awesome adventures. The one that you’ll have to remember to write down tomorrow morning, but you never do. What’s the fantasy story that you create in your head that keeps you from falling asleep, because you NEED to finish the story before you can rest.
MINIMALIST FANTASY
Ever wrote a minimalist fantasy???
I realized I've not posted my fantasy works (except one) on the site because I tried to make it minimal. You know, like less magical descriptive words but still retained a sense of fantasy in it.
So I dare you to write one cause I couldn't...for now lol.
[[For the world building hmmm... Low fantasy or Urban fantasy will do. Maybe something that has to do with a mysterious lake and what miracle and cursed things it does, and a flower, an alive conscious flower, a rarely seen one with an ability to disguise itself and maybe another hidden ability. It's prominent features were being red and it can pull it's own roots so they can move freely on land but they only stay were there are a lot of overgrown vegetation.
It will start with a village's annual feast for commemorating their self-proclaimed guardian deity—the so called 'flower', and the main character would be the new head priest who will preside over the feast—but has a secret. The story itself will only revolve around the village and the forest that surrounds it. (Kinda influenced by an eastern fantasy theme)]]
I feel like I made it harder when I started adding details but I'll try posting this anyway XD. You can just choose one of what I've mentioned if it's too much for the minimalistic theme though. I'll slowly read your works if you guys decided to make an entry. XDD

Table Top Role-Playing Games
Are you a fan of TTRPG's such as Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer 40K, Cyberpunk 2077, etc? What's your favorite? Are you currently in a group right now? If so, what campaign (module or homebrew?) are you involved in, what are you playing as, and how's the campaign going so far?
