i whisper wishes
of feathery sleep
to a princess trapped
beneath water stained skies,
lost in a forest
of paint peels and cracks
i whisper wishes
of feathery sleep
to a dreamer haunted
by wingless flight,
locked in a cage
too high to survive the fall
i whisper wishes
of feathery sleep
to a heart cursed
with fading stars and
a waning moon
in the raven room.
