Think of a time in your life when you noticed your turning point from teenage hood to adulthood. This isn’t limited to 18 plus only. Some people grow up young and some grow up when they’re older. Neither is bad, so reference the transition age when you “shedded” that skin. What might you do with that skin you no longer wear? Do you dispose of it, tuck it away in a keepsake or pretend it never existed? The possibility is endless, show me what you do with that ‘skin,’ in ANY format.

Show someone on their last wit, the end of their pitiful rope before they cast all rationality to the wayward and jump into the fray, doing something that they might not otherwise do. Like they've finally tired of playing by the rules of society, of living in silence and are putting all their bets on the table in one last final go. Pick one of three positions to write from: a high school girl, a constable, the sheriff, or the instructor. The final results should spin a very interesting tale from all these perspectives into a neat story if there's one crack at each person.

Write a short story [collabs are super welcome] about someone who sold their soul for their dream/desire and how things turned out for them when they realized payment was finally due?

Write a poem about your feathered friend, neighborhood alley cat, or your passenger seat dog pal. They can be ferrets, cats, dogs, birds... Anything, as long as you see them often and regularly and share some sort of symbiotic relationship with each other. Tell me their quirks, their frustrating bits, and what absolutely makes you just squeal with excitement when you want to hug them and pet them.

Describe a moment in which love felt uncertain, suffocating and so dire that it brought you or the character to a panic.

Take an old myth and incorporate it into a new or transformed myth through free style poem, short story, or a snippet of a larger story.

Begin a story with a photograph. End the story with a bittersweet kiss.

Describe a very brutal car accident. Leave no details out about the car and how it begins, to how it comes to its new state of being. If there's gore or anything about the driver you want to include, please include a trigger warning [TW] at the top of the post in the title, but other than that. It's a free for all. Let's see how good you can get at describing a car accident. Any type. Small fender bender or a large, horrific accident... Anything and it's good to also give a recount of the driver's experience and thoughts, whether they walk out or not.

Give a short story, long story, or any kind of poem to express the beginning of a man falling in love with a woman he will never attain. Show the woman's love for him despite knowing she can never be with him whether due to illness, status, death. Be creative.

Write a poem [any type] about dissociation. Try to use abstract ideas, concepts and details to give a sense of depth on how it affects you or the person feeling it.

Write a piece that shows a character going through the realization how far they have fallen and what they have to do to redeem themselves. The person in question would have to be someone who is either the villain or a far fallen hero and the things in which they're seeking redemption from would have to be so horrible that even they can't stomach their own actions knowing that they've turned themselves around now.
