Kiss

That first kiss is never forgotten

It’s memory lingers

I lick my lips and still taste

Your flavour burnt into my heart

Beckoned

It calls me from far away

her smile in my mind

her scent deep in every breath

that taste of her

Being beckoned by her passion

captivated in my soul

Elixir

Drink her wine

That vintage of seduction

Let it pour over your lips

Each drop savoured by your tongue

Up the leg of her

Lick the rim slowly

Drink her wine

All you can

Twilight’s Daughter

You slide into my attention

Just like

Twilight falls as she comes...

...I never knew yr intentions,

Baby...

I've seen you fly like the sun...

...When you hang it's all

But too much to bear...

I have to close my eyes.

...The words you use,

And the scent of your hair...

...I'd be foolish not to rise.

Crack me open like Fort Knox,

I guess

I must have gave you the codes...

...Something 'bout you comes off

So smoothly...

Eases my head down to my toes...

...When you hang it's all

But too much to bear...

I have to shut my eyes.

...The words you use,

And the scent of your hair...

...I'd be foolish not to rise...

...Rise to the hour...

The minute...

The peak of your passion...

...Your always on my mind!...

...Move with water...

And wonder...

I can't change the station...

...You're buried up into my spine.

You slide into my attention

Just like

Twilight falls as she comes...

...I never knew yr intentions,

Baby...

I've seen you fly like the sun...

Finding the one

He wandered in the wilderness

Looking far and wide

For his heart that called

Searching beneath the canopy

That hide the light

The darkness did bring hope

But every turn he was kicked aside

Too shallow the leaves sung

Stung by the bite of sorrow

Then he looked up

And saw a glimmer

Yes that is where it is

His heart is warmth is there

Then she was

As the trees sung

In the breeze

Her sweet kind heart

Was his holding his

He knew right then

This bright light was her

She listened and smiled

He knew she was the one

They dance now together

Amount the trees

Two as one

For he knew she

Was there and was the one

Write a formal rejection to an unqualified candidate. (What do you "regret to inform them?")

Dear Poet,

While I was personally very impressed with your writing talents, I regret to inform you that our editorial board found your abundance of creativity unsuitable for our position of EDITOR - OBITUARIES for the Times Herald Beacon.

While your descriptive prose was intriguing and added color to the deceased, your side anecdote on the risqué pleasuring tastes of one of this cities finest benefactors was potentially too erotically stimulating for our audience. While your deep dive into the background story resulting in the illegitimate birth of our beloved mayor was in the words of your generation "TMI". And, as to your penchant for writing the obituaries in iambic pentameter, I believe your rhyme might seem to mock those dead and their grieving families; your rhyme of prostate cancer with gandy dancer, in particular, might be found distasteful.

So, while I must reject you for this position with our organization, I encourage you to pursue your art in other more suitable venues.

Sincerely,

William S.

The Thing I Want To Say...

For As Long As You Are There (The Thing I Want To Say)

Let me not

have lived life

for naught,

leaving no mark

showing I’ve been here,

to not have time

to rectify mistakes,

but the biggest fear

is living life

without you -

your warm embraces,

your warped sense of humor,

the way you laugh

with complete abandon,

watching silly comedies

holding your sides

as you belly laugh,

no holds barred,

your need to learn

and grow and interact

and watch the birds

of life careening

across your vision.

I want to hold

you to me,

never let you go,

erase the pain

from your existence.

I am very afraid

but blessed

to have you

for as long

as you are there.

At birth, everyone is born with a tattoo of the day they're supposed to die. You were suppose to die yesterday. What happens next?
Please no vulgar language. Be creative!

They Are Not God

Please know the person that

tattooed you at birth,

was out to brand you,

or tell you your worth.

Only my father above

calls my faith.

Only he can put me here,

and calculate my waste.

Yes we all were born with some kind

of a toe tag.

But nothing in the open to tell you

when you pass.

So if my tattoo say I suppose to pass

the day before.

What next is finding that doctor,

that branded me like a wild boar.

Teased

Slowly she looked

Gazing at his manhood

A devilish smile formed

His jeans did not hide

The effects of her seduction

Her garments fell

Floating to the floor

His eyes fixated on her

She leaned in and

said don’t touch

I want to make you

Burst with want

Her secret garden

Dripped with want

He could not take anymore

Off went the indigo barrier

That hide his want

Pinned she was the walls shook

And there she moaned with a deep want

Yes yes yes more
