Youth Knows No Age
I still devour the voices
grab the sky to embrace it
rage the world ablaze
snuff out torrents of rain
sail the squall of tempests
I still devour the voices
dance in youth’s wild abandon
pluck the strings of truth
tear my soul in pieces
let life into my heart
I still devour the voices
holding spring to my bosom
seizing the pennant of youth
swallowing its nectar deeply
imbibing the dregs of youth
Shatter
Shattered my soul
Smashed my head against the pavement
Broken my heart
Torn my wings from my back
You never cared
Did you?
I cried and you laughed
I screamed
I begged but you kicked me over
I needed help
But you watched me suffer
You watched me slowly die
I now have grown a bigger set of wings
Glued my heart back
Found my soul
And now it’s your turn
Run
I dare you
You will not get far
Turn around
Follow the sound of broken glass
And find me waiting
I will show you what you did to me
Darling
I knew the curve of your lips would end me-
Darling-
How silly to think otherwise.
I knew that you would end me-
Darling-
Yet I, the fool, thought otherwise.
If love's a game then I'm losing-
Darling-
You have an iron taste.
I knew loving your would end me-
Darling-
Yet I, the fool, thought otherwise.

i struggle
with dry
imagination,
words that fall
like dominoes
on a hill
too slick, too easy
too dull
to reach my heart
not wild, not weird
not daring
to haunt my mind
i struggle
with dry
imagination,
worlds that clone
the things
i already know
so give me clumsy,
give me hard
give me sharp, wild, weird
and dare
to reach a heart,
to haunt a mind
with absurdity.
The Unraveling Night
The night opens up
Like a wound
On the waist
Of a heart anchored
Entrant
Of a cross country
Race
Who has split herself
Two ways
Just because she must
Risk
Everything to make
Sense of the
Fathoming of your kiss...
...Watch her,
As she unravels!...
...She who's sworn
To the tide...
...The devilry
In which she dabbles
Enters and exits
My mind...
Nighttime swallows all
The failures...
And the darkness
Hides our shames...
...Cracks a window
On what's tailored
For the masses
To sustain...

Your mind is Inside-Out
Writer's block- simple Disney definition. Somebody let Sadness near the control panel and she got tears and snot all in the Idea slot and then when Fear saw he went crazy and knocked into the button that shut down your Poetry Island, and it took the crew a long time to repair it because Joy thought that replacing the Idea slot was more important so she had them do that first. Most likely, JD4, Sadness cried for a longer time than usual so the crew had to repair more of the control panel, so you should expect your writer's block to be fixed shortly.
