Desperado Destiny
Bodies attached
woven together
shackled in bindings
breeding jangling pain.
Dark dungeon of fate
desperado destiny
dancing at the brink
of treacherous cliff.
Rats gnawing at feet
struggling for life
at our locked gate.
If we want to escape
we each must breathe
diverse air on our own.
Untie tangled knots
allow dissonant souls
to tread their own path.
Greetings and Farewell, and Hello again
Into the miasma of conditioning
You're borne.
A plethora of bodies,
Chemical, all, at war.
Influence, influenced by
That vacuum of choice;
As deep as sleep,
As relative in kind.
For fate is not built,
Nor prescribed,
But shaped
One consequence at a time.
A misstep,
A revelation.
True elation,
Sorely bereft.
The apology,
The abortion,
False modesty,
Contortion.
To promise,
To know.
To be honest
Tomorrow.
To promise this,
To learn to lie.
To witness bliss,
To watch love die.
One more intrusion,
One more delusion.
Sorrow that ends,
Death of a friend.
Superfluous,
Serendipitous,
To lust,
To trust.
And death,
What can be said?
An end,
A breath?
Fate is opportunity spent
With chance to marginalise.
Oversimplify to sympathise
The end that is meant.
Fate and destiny
My darling before you were born
Way up in the stars, the Angels gathered
round and decided your fate.
They mixed in sugar n spice a little dirt eww!
And a few worms for good measure too.
You are lovely and have grown into a wonderful man, you are destined for greatness, that's their plan. Stop wallowing it does you no good.
Life is too short, your destined for good.
Our fate is out of our hands, for it has already been decided. However only you can determine what types of destiny you have.
There is greatness in you,
All souls meaningless
There's the heavens and us, – below
A life given, a mystery even now
If there be something more or new
None has seen what's never to be seen
We cross ourselves and kiss our lovers
But the true journey ends in the grave
They claim that paradise lie beyond
Been there and back, all is void
Fate or destiny, does it really matter?
All ends in the grave
All souls, all meaningless
Love now, be kind
Beyond the grave is void!
Meaningless!
Fixed Facets
Destiny and fate assure me that there is an end, and it is certain. They play into every moment of my life and every decision I'll ever make. They are the result of each rise and fall, all of my successes and failures, my advancements and setbacks. They give me hope and, above all, they give my life meaning. Fate and destiny make me eager to see what the future has in store for me. I ache to know what is at the end of my journey, and how exactly I got there.
