5 Prosers I Appreciate
I too have some Prosers that I would like to express my appreciation to. Here are 5 Prosers that I’ve grown to appreciate during my time here on Prose:
1. Danceinsilence
This guy’s been a true mentor and friend in the last few months that I’ve known him. He’s so much wiser than he claims to be, helped by his long experience in life. He even helped me out in making edits to my Sins of the Father stories. He’s very open-minded about all opinions and feelings, and he’s got a big heart. Also, the man’s a military veteran. That’s another thing to appreciate. So thank you, my friend, for your help, your expertise, your wisdom, and your amazingly fun challenges; and thank you for your service to our country.
2. Mnezz
This girl is one of the best here on Prose. She is everyone’s best friend on Prose, including mine. She may be half way across the world, but she always feels like she’s right next store, giving each and everyone support and care. She’s always there to read your posts whenever possible, and will say just the sweetest things about it. She’s always been my biggest supporter when it came to my reviews and my Sins of the Father stories. You can be sure that she will always be there to brighten up your day with a comment and a smile.
3. Ken_W_Writer
This guy is great! He writes such brilliant poems and haikus the likes I’ve never seen before. Along of which he attaches some amazing pictures to his writes, such as open meadows and trees changing colors. I often wonder, since on his profile page states that he does photography, if those pictures are ones he has taken himself. Regardless, they are still wonderful pictures. Additionally, when I admitted in a post that when I was younger I used to look down on the LGBT community through blind loathsomeness and have since regretted my attitude and changed my views for the better, he, being an openly gay man, accepted me for the changed man I am today. I almost cried when I read his comment. Ken is a good man and a good friend, and I am proud to call him my friend.
4. JD4
He’s a cool kid. He’s not afraid to voice his opinion, and he’s not afraid to stand up for other people’s opinions. We’ve butted heads a couple times before, but nothing too serious to make us resent each other. Sometimes he comes off as a little arrogant and naive as he comments and questions our posts, but he’s not doing so intentionally, as I’ve come to understand. He’s trying to understand our views and thinking in order to engage into a meaningful and insightive conversation, like each of us do everyday away from our computers. And at the same time he expresses how much he respects each of us as an independent individual for sharing our viewpoints. Because what he does best is listen(or in our cases read) what is on our minds. And for that, I deeply respect him. If you’re willing to have a conversation about anything, or just to talk about what stresses you, talk to him, and he will treat you like any fellow man and friend.
5. Finder
She is one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet here on Prose. She does her best for her fellow prosers and for Prose. Her challenges are amazing. So creative and instructive that I often wished I had her abilities to do that with my challenges. She also has an extraordinary gift of allowing her poetry to convey her emotions, much of them range from pure joy and happiness to pain and regret, with each word that makes you feel as she does. She is also courageous, being open about her bipolar disorder, which is not an easy thing to admit, nor is it easy to understand. I know exactly how she feels. I am autistic, but I wish I could be brave as her when being open about it. I don’t think Prose would ever be the same without her. She is a part of this community, and our world, just as we are a part of hers.
Well that’s five, but fuck it. There’s a lot more prosers here that deserve some appreciation too. Let’s list them off:

I will admit that there are a couple on this lengthy list of mine that I have had strong disagreements with, some have turned into full blown arguments that resulted into blocking each other out of our lives. Despite our differences it doesn’t not mean that I think lessly of them. What I appreciate about those people is their impact to others on Prose, and the work they’ve made into their posts, whether it be writing a poem/shory or expressing their views, all of which they are always finding new ways of perfecting their writing. Odds are they may not be reading this, but if they are, I would like to say that I do apologize how things turned out and wished we could have ended on better terms. Perhaps they’ll forgive me, perhaps they won’t. Only time will tell.
And lastly, I wish to extend my appreciation and gratitude to A and Z, the brain and heart behind Prose. Without them, Prose would not be as it is right now, and there would be no community like us. Prose has become more than just a community, it has become a voice. A voice for many opinions, poets, and fiction writers. We are all given a chance to express ourselves, as well as a gift to share our thoughts and stories to everyone.
“We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results.”
-Herman Melville

Really? Only Five?
You expect me to chose five people out of the thousands of people on Prose?
I'll name a few, and then a few more.
First up, @Mnezz. You're always one of the first people to find my posts, even minutes after I posted it. Kudos to you, you make me feel great whenever I see a like or repost, or even a comment. Your writing is great and I love your poetry.
Next, @Taki. I really need to catch up on your Rali series. It's seem like a great book, and I'm sure I'll be captivated by it, but I really need to read it. The parts I've read so far was absolutely great and I loved it. You always tag me in your posts and it feels great to be remembered by people.
@chainedinshadow, between commenting on my posts, and our love of Doctor Who, you're one of the people who has similar interests to me on here. Even though we haven't had any contact lately, I'm still glad I met you on here. (Though then again I haven't been the most active lately, so then again, that could be my fault!)
@JamieAshworth, oh about a half a year ago, you went through and liked a lot of my posts. You said my writing was amazing, and that absolutely astounded me that someone liked my writing that much. Your writing is superb and I'm glad to have come in contact with you on Prose!
Honestly all of you guys are absolutely fantastic! Every one on here is amazing with their writing. I love the support everyone gives each other and the fantastic posts, challenges, and books everyone creates. I can see people hearts and souls in their writing. I absolutely love it!
(now I'm just going to mention everyone I can think of on here, because all of you are amazing!)

Great people we got here
The list of people that I notice who do amazing work here is long. But I do as I’m told so a quick shoutout to some of my favorites.
@brandi333 writes poetry but also longer articles. Very wide range of emotions. I think this is a good place for her. Very moving.
@undermeyou maybe the first person I followed here. Amazing stuff. She knows how to be strong, but also have an emotional side.
@mnezz her short stories and poems amaze me. She definitely found a way to face her dark side in writings.
@msh very smart and versatile. I love how she plays these games about meaning. Amazing. Just out of the blue..
@anarosewood is younger than most of us, i think. She writes amazing posts. Very good descriptions. Very realistic. Keep it up.

You all rule and if I haven’t commented much on your work lately,

I love our community. It’s amazing: we’ve never met each other but we can share things so freely here.
Long live and be strong!!
HUGS & KISSES TO ALL MY PROSE FAMILY
Okay, I'm the mushy one but I love people in general.
I think that everyone on this site is extremely talented, vulnerable, and kind. I have read the most sensitive yet incisive poems I have ever read. And I have read the most insightful short stories and long stories on here. I have learned and laughed on this site. I have shed a tear and sometimes this site with these people have just made my day. It's a comfort with this site for me that gives me a fulfillment that reaches my mind and tells me it's okay to feel this way today, just write about it. I want to send out my appreciation to every person that puts the challenges on here for us to do. I love a challenge, and every time I go to post one, I read one that I would love to challenge then I forget to post one. LOL. Sometimes my information for the challenge might be the wrong content, please don't think I'm making fun of it, really,
I love the do the challenges sometimes just to vent. It doesn't really matter if I win or lose for me, I just love that someone wants to listen, and see how I write. I do have five people I want to single out, but everyone has fairly liked or comment when needed and I love you all for that. I do want to give a special thank you to @Brandi333, thank you for going beyond and helping me and always taking the time out to read my mess. @Mnezz, you never fail to like or read what is written, you are very faithful and been so since I first got on, you're TRULY awesome. @Undermeyou, you are faithful as well and I appreciate that. @batmaninwuhan, thank you for your kindness. @Finder, Thank you for you very challenging challenges. AND MOST OF ALL Thank you to all that follow me and have been commenting faithfully since my first day and following me for what seemed like forever. You are ALL truly the GREATEST as well. ALL the names I am about to name are people that have commented on me since day one, Thank you for caring and WE ARE ALL FAMILY:

Sorry, I Did Eight (and I was Going to do More Than That)
There are soooooooooooooooooo many amazing Prosers on this site--@harrysituation, @vyxyn, @msh, @Finder, @AndyBetz, to name few--but here are my top five.
@mnezz is the top one on my list. She’s just so positive and encouraging to everyone. Her stories are unique and engaging. Even though I’ve never met her in real life, she’s still one of my role models.
@emberjoy writes unbelievably AMAZING stories. Once I start reading them, I can’t stop. Her writing is beautiful and descriptive, creating vivid worlds that I get lost in. She has certainly written things worth plagarizing (as she said she wished in her bio.)
@anarosewood writes descriptive, beautiful poetry that weaves a surreal, dream-like world. I love her stories, too. She’s been nothing but sweet and encouraging and I look forward to continuing to read her works.
@sandflea68 was actually the very first person ever to follow me. From the start, she has always been encouraging and polite, and I find her poems just astounding! I’ve not read any of her works in a few week but I’m sure they are just as good as ever!
@Taki, all I can say is “WOW!” There is literally nothing I’d rather do than read her stories. Her characters seem so real that I wouldn’t be surprised if I ran into them some day. She’s a talented artist as well. Thanks for all of your feedback, too!
@justaperson We both love Dr. Who (Matt Smith was the best :D) and she keeps things real when she writes. There’s just something about her writings that touch me.
@HashtagFiction has given me so much helpful advice and feedback. I love his Red Ridinghood chapters bunches and bunches and can’t wait to read more!
@Danceinsilence has given me so much insight and advice. He’s humble even though he knows his stuff, and he always takes a unique perspective in his work, asking questions that have never been asked before or looking at a topic from a new angle.
A word or two, If I may
I have been on Prose for almost two years and I have so many to thank and am thankful for having in this Proser life.
First and like many that have come before me and after... @Sandflea68 for welcoming me and sheperding me through the first postings I made. Thank you for being an ear at times and for your openess and honesty. Now for the inspiring part of this appreciation - Your work that you post here are like paintings in a gallery. They have such imagery and craftsmanship that when I read your work, I read it 4-5 times to attain comprehension and then to study the craftsmanship of the write. If I ever met you in person, I would genuflect and kiss your hand, for you have my respect and admiration.
@estherflowers1 - You were the second Proser I came across. Your challenges and writes are far superior to my own that I read your work over and over to study and appreciate your verbiage and meter. If I were to reach into the wizards emerald bag, I would pull out a Thank You for your challenges, they have been the best therapy I have had, yet. I wonder if we ever met if I could keep up with your wit? Probably Not...
@Samanthalombard - Thank you for your writes and thank you for encouraging my own. I do not know if you will ever return, but I hope you do one day. You are missed. But again, Thank you. You encouraged my second post on the site and I wrote a sequel because of your comments. As always, thank you for your scandoulously delicious writes and for helping me to produce some of my own...as I said before of my writes, some hot...some not.
@Winterreign - Thank you for the smiles, and tears from your writes. You have bled on the page and it shows. I love your honesty and your humor. And I loved that you have asked for help with your cooking. If we were neighbors, I would love to be your tutor in the kitchen as you wrote at the kitchen table. Love is so hard when you are young, but it doesn't get any easier as you get older, you just gain experience...and the experience that you encounter is usually the hurt. Mickey Gilly sings a song - "Here comes the hurt again..." the lyric opens with this line - " Here come the hurt again
You'd think I'd learn...The more that I believe in love...The more I get burned"
@SaltandInk - Thank you for your works, for I do love your writes. I have also enjoyed the commenst we shared here and there. You are another I do not see as often and I hope you return to continue your writing. You are another that has encouraged me and hopefully I have done the same for you. If ever we met, I would just like to have had the opportunity for your company and a cup of coffee and the chance to call you friend.
Of my followers, I am certain that I do not deserve you, but thank you to you all. I haven't written as much as I would have liked lately, well I mean quality writes, but hopefully that will change shortly.
I love this challenge!
My first shout-out is to @sandflea68. You're awesome! I was really nervous posting to Prose for the first time, and your encouragment inspired me to write! I love your posts and the art that accompanies them~ keep up the good work!
My second person is @b-r-i-a (you know I love you :)). If you don't already follow her, check her out! She's only been on Prose a short time, and already has written almost fifty posts!! How does she write so much and so well I have no idea
Multiply and Divide and I’m sure It’ll Be Five
I’d like to thank Everyone at Prose for sharing in writing with me and each other :) it’s a beautiful thing to take the time and the courage to experiment with what inevitably might be seen as verbal trial and error and success.
I’m deeply grateful to the Proser’s who write with me directly be it prose, verse, challenge collaborations, or commentaries:
CYS_Correia, JD4, CreativeChaos, Danceinsilence, Bunny
I miss reading the writings and challenges of:
LostAlice, Syne, MilesNowhere, StrippedAbyss, Soulhearts
I think we don’t see enough of lately:
Dark, JessicaJohnson, Harlequin, GhoulCircus, sandflea86
Thank you kindly to those who challenge me in prompts, and follow ups:
EstherFlowers1, IvyBee, AmberLight, Finder, Zebrablack
And Fifthly, many thanks to all the Prosers who tag me to read and comment! i don’t always get to it right away but am much appreciative of your sharing your work with me: Mnezz, Taki, karshu, RainbowUnicorn, and of course Harry_Situation!!
I’m sure I’ve missed and slighted someone but I assure you I meant no offense... these sort of lists are flawed from the start but it is nice to give thanks once in a while...
#FiveProsers #Challenge
Five + A Few
There are many people on here that mean a lot to me but since Harry said only five, I'll name five.
@Danceinsilence
You've been a really big help to me from writing advice to editing my posts. It means a lot. I also enjoy reading you're poems and stories on any given day.
@anarosewood
My fellow Mad Hatter. You are an amazing poet and the occasional story you write here and there are amazing. Your poems have so much emotion and meaning it's... beautiful. Just remember that the best people are crazy!
@Mnezz
You. Are. So. NICE! Every post I tag you in you always give me supportive feedback on and you always make my day with your kindness. I don't think Prose would be what it is today if it weren't for you.
@chainedinshadow
I know you didn't talk about me in yours but I'm not gonna hold that against you. LOL. You're stories and poems are very good, full of talent and passion. You have a great personality, too. I also look forward to reading more of your Profiles on Dani.
@Taki
Just because you're at the bottom of the list does not mean you're the least! I love every single last one of your stories. They are amazing! I don't know how you keep track of them but there is obviously a lot of thought and dedication in each on. I am mindblown that your head hasn't exploded yet with all those ideas in it. (No pun intended about the minblown part :D)
And a few others: @tooldtocare @HashtagFiction @Harry_Situation @sandflea68 @sweetsilence @justaperson @Prose (obviously) @MsH
“Thank You Posts”
1. @JD4
Being new to prose, I didn’t know where to begin. When I saw JD4’s challenge to write about free will, I did.
”Dear Free Will” was my first and best write, here on the prose.
(two years later, third best)
With the like, share and support of JD4, I entered JD4’s next 2 challenges. I wrote:
”Evil Wears A Mask” and then I wrote “Building Blocks”
Again, gaining confidence through JD4’s support, I started to venture to other challenges and then, with no challenge write on my own page ”Here”
I feel JD4 was the person who helped me get started writing on the prose and I will never forget that.
@Finder @Sandflea68
for being mentors
@Undermeyou
@Mnezz
for support and kindness
@Brandi333
for amazing challenges.
Thank you all :)
