So, there I was, standing on the edge of an abyss: Should we or shouldn’t we kiss?
I trembled and wondered and hoped for bliss.

So there I was, scanning through the destruction, the pile of debris that used to be home. I could feel my heart beat through my entire body like I had swallowed a ticking time bomb. The part that really shattered my soul though, is the fact that this all happened because of me.
So there I was, space scattered before me. Galaxies roaring silently above, nothing but eternity below. I turned to my companions with a grin, and asked them where they’d like to go next.
So there I was, perched on my throne built from the brusied backs of others. From the large window to my right, I could see the homes and townsquares that held my people. I sat and watched over them, wondering what it will be like to watch them all burn.
So there I was, a location immersed in fire; where demons roamed freely and sins of all kinds were allowed and encouraged.
Wait a minute.
I’m on earth.
So there I was, stabbing the Brits with my cutlass and avoiding the odd bullet when I saw my Captain's mask slip off. Captain normally keeps his face covered by a black cloth which was odd, but as crew members we never questioned, especially when he had his silver dagger at our throats. However, in the middle of a parry Captain's mask fell off and I realized, he was a she.

So there I was, torn between losing my best friend and my mom. Everyone's worst nightmare.

So there I was, my sister's magic 8-ball in one hand, a mug of shimmering orange liquid in the other. I reread the 8-ball's message: "All signs point to yes". I took one last look around the attic, then brought the mug to my lips.
