Sheep Across Azure Vaults
If we never meet again, I’ll know
you can’t be shorn from my heart.
You thawed my hardened iced soul as
we danced together on frozen stars,
my breath inhaled in exuberant joy.
Our heat tiptoed in waves of silence
at the edge of our beginning, circling
our essence in naked words as we
patched our outer shells together,
reveling in intoxicated moonlit dust,
surrendering in place of long grass blades
navigating by stars in your moonlit eyes.
Clouds rolled in like sheep across azure vaults
in steamed vapor of our passionate breaths.
Our eyes locked in two-step through the heavens
tied together in silk laces of love embraced.
Our love remains in our ageless thoughts but
we’ll have to meet in our dreams as we sleep,
once rosy roads have parted in dusty endings,
our residual bones fluttering in the breezes.
Never Meet
If we never meet again
I won't ask why
I won't cry
I won't want to die
I won't say goodbye
If we never meet again
You won't steal my heart
Leave me in the dark
Say we must part
If we never meet again
I'll be able to see
I'll think about me
Won't beg on my knee
I will be free
If we never meet again
I'll be able to choose
I won't have to lose
I'll stop loving you.
Same... Yet Missing You
If we never meet again...
The sun will still shine.
The wind will still blow.
The birds will still call.
The cat will still want to be fed.
And yet, if we never meet again...
My heart will be torn.
My mind will be consumed.
My thoughts will be full of you.
My life will cease to be whole.
So please, if we never meet again...
Remember the days at the beach.
Remember the talks we had about paradoxes.
Remember the boy drama we went through together.
Remember the fact that we'll be friends no matter what.
If we never meet again...
The world will still go on.
I'll miss you always.
I hope you'll remember me.
And one day, we'll both be one.
Patterned
If we never meet again,
remember -
we met.
And in that meeting,
we changed.
Each of us added to the mosaic of the other's life
a tile,
or a stone,
or a small glittering something.
Perhaps,
we gave assurance,
or lent strength,
or inspired joy.
Maybe,
the worn red converse you let me borrow
were actually the golden Talaria,
carrying me swiftly toward my best tomorrow.
In a febrile haze,
you once called me
Artemis,
mistaking the moon's glow
for a halo,
believing that I would,
could,
protect you.
I promise I tried.
If I have not succeeded,
then I pray
I have at least helped you
transform the broken little
used-to-be's
into a work of art
as beautiful,
and competeless,
and authentic
as your soul.
I know you have made me an artist.
Did I return the favor?
Angel & Fallen
You were an angel,
I was a fallen...
From the the start you were heaven
And I was nothing but an alien...
But through those boundaries
Though those what's & if's
You held my hand tightly
And I held yours so lightly
But your wings let you soar above high
And mine could not even touch the sky
From the start we were never meant to be
But for those few moments you made me glee
If we never meet again my love
I want you to know I cherished you like a dove
If we never meet again
Know that I'll be always there
There in your heart
As you are in mine
There up the sky
And here in the ground
Travelling fool
If we never meet again
I will live the rest of my life in pain
For you are now the reason I have to live
Before I never felt I had anything to give
Your smile showed me the light
The moon span around you like a satellite
Everything you touch seems to come alive
Without you I doubt that I could survive
Your simple words resonate and echo inside my mind
Before hearing you speak my heart was confined
Now it is free to love and I offer it to you
For when I look into your eyes I see everything as new
So I will search for you until my dying day
All I hope is that you do not turn me away

If we never meet again...
If we never meet again
then let me hold you for a while,
so that I'd remember the way
your hands wrap around my tiny waist.
Give me a minute more
to take in the smell of your perfume
that I never really liked.
I want to listen to your heartbeat
like it's the soundtrack to my life.
If we never meet again,
let me look at you once more,
so I can memorize every single freckle,
and that lopsided smile of yours.
Look me in the eye,
so I know what color yours are.
I want you to ruffle my hair
one last time
before you go.
If we never meet again,
I'd make sure you know,
how much I hate that shirt you're wearing.
I'll tell you all my dirty little secrets,
and you would tell me yours.
I'd thank you and tell you
I love you.
Then, I'd promise to live each day,
as if we'd never meet again.
