made, wish I may and might.
tear
drop
dew
on grass and leaves,
when lying next to you —
unveiling heaven,
lucid sleep,
tints slumber
golden hues.
Our Bodies of Music
some nights, i'm fighting sound
the rhythm of lights
flickering behind those eyes
like flashing highbeams
on a lonely, open road
(Eve6 plays in the background)
you drift with oceans
forever reminding me
of crossing seas and
weathering storms
to lay next to you
(playlist shuffles to And It Stoned Me)
ah, yes, here we have
the space in between
dreams and yesterday
where sorrow goes to linger
while fingers find fountation
in everything lost and gained
within this bare breasted breath
(Stones swoon You Can’t Always Get What You Want)
lying, next to You
lying
I remember lying next to you. It was a picture-perfect sunny morning. A few clouds, but it felt like we had all the time in the world. Looking up, trying to blink though the rays. You rolled over onto your stomach, smiling, and we locked eyes. And I remember.
You were so beautiful.
Drop dead gorgeous. With your airy laugh and soft hands, mischeivious eyes and drive like no one else, gosh, I could kiss you.
I could kiss you.
That thought hit me like a train. I could just sit up a little, and kiss you. Or pull you down to me and kiss you. As simple as that. And its such a free, casual thought. It came naturally. Just like how yesterday I thought maybe I could hold you hand infront of everyone in class. Or give you a bunch of red hearts, including the one in my chest. Or call you mine, and be yours.
I realized then, I was falling for you. We were lying on the field, on the ground, and I was still falling.
In Their Bed
Laying next to you
The simplest kind of peace
because their fingers are weaven together
Their pulses beat together
As two halves of the same whole
and their problems are locked outside the bedroom door
Laying below their bodies
Is their two dogs and lucky-to-be-alive hamster
still in his protective ball
All are asleep
and one dog runs in place as he dream
He’s running, but going nowhere
because why would he
Everything is perfect
And she almost doesn't want to ever fall asleep
because she knows when she wakes
She’ve have to go
Leave you laying alone in their bed
Lies?
You promised to stay by my side. To protect me from everything, even myself and my broken thoughts. The blades in my room and the insults in my head. The world outside and inside. You always stayed next to me. We were lovers once.
I believed you.
So why did you break me by lying? Why did you tell me you'd protect me if you were just going to die? You promised and you died. You died for me. You lived for me. You loved me. And I loved you back. With everything I had. I was so stupid to believe you, when you said to always be by my side.
But you lied.
Lying Next To You
Tonight's the night,
when you are mine.
No one to share you with,
Nothing on our minds.
Lying here next to you,
brings me clarity like no other.
You give me hope.
Just the thought of losing you makes me shudder.
I don't it ever to end.
Say you'll never leave me.
Lying next to you,
fits me like a tee.
Hush my dear.
Don't say a word.
Just being here with me,
is enough to make me sing like a bird.
Forget the world.
Forget our sorrows.
Just lie here,
with me until tomorrow.
