Cleaning Out The Negativity
All my thoughs are swept away, like a broom has set to work in my mind.
Good thoughts stick to my skull, and no mop comes to clean them up.
The good thoughs, that are of topic, are aloud to trickle in- slowly- as thougn the peron who swept my brain had installed a filter that only allowed positivity through.
It would break eventaully- but the thoughts of my mind-filter breaking were blocked by the mind-filter itself.
Then, the person in my brain- the person who resembls my joy- goes on a working vacation to my heart.
It wipes at graying spots, using a cloth of God’s forgivness, and soap of generosity.
True happiness allows me to live in the moment- if only for a momet (the one I’m living in, of course)- and I forget my worries long enough to remind myself: the world does have evil, but there is good aswell. The two of them together create balance, and our moments of joy become purer.
Good luck, I can relate.
Happiness is an emotion. It is next to impossible to explain what an emotion is like for one person and then compare it to another. The only thing we can do is see what made some others happy, then analyse your feelings in those situations and decide for yourself that that is most likely happiness.
The thing is with this and any other emotion, you can't describe it to others. Metaphors, physical sensations, the descriptions of certain situations. all good attempts, but none actually succeed. It's like trying to describe sight to a person who can't see, or sound to a person who can't hear. Completely impossible.
And this isn't for a lack of trying. I have been having trouble myself figuring out emotions for most of my life as well, and I still don't really know. I have in the end decided that certain sensations in my head that appear in certain situations are emotions. As long as I keep track of them, and also on every other part of my body and how it is acting, I will know what I am feeling when.
So I guess my advice about figuring out happiness is to decide what you want to be happy with, then say that you're always happy then? I honestly don't know beyond that.
Happy What? Happiness
A lot of people struggle with that word Happy or Happiness or being Happy in General. Happy is a feeling. Happiness is what you feel within. Happy is what we do for others: make them laugh, smile or feel good. Happiness is love that feeling of loving others more then self. Happy is being happy when your not. Happiness is a place we all would like to be and that's Happy. That good good happy, that singing happy, that dancing happy, that good to your soul happy, that smile all day and night happy even when your sleeping happy, that morning cup of coffee happy, that get up and go happy, and last but not least that good food happy. Happy. What? Is happiness in any form of a good genuine feeling.
Happiness
Happiness is carefree
It doesn´t care what the world thinks
Or what people think
Happiness is content
It is the feeling of being content with where you are at
Not the feeling of wanting something more
Happiness is when we truly live
When we show our smiles to the sky
And spin around in circles with our arms extended
Happiness is the light feeling inside your chest that no one can explain
It can come in one quick instant
Yet disappear in another
Happiness is meant to be shared
Not taken away or kept to oneself
Happiness can´t be faked
Or created
Happiness can´t be described
Or explained
Happiness can´t always fill that hole
Or void
But
Happiness can heal
Happiness is like a bandaid
It protects wounds
And helps them heal
But
You have to give it time
Feels of Happy
Feels like relief.
Feels like power.
Feels like freedom.
Feels like appreciation.
Feels like awe.
Feels like knowing.
Feels like love.
Feels like evolution.
"BE HAPPY IN THE NOW OR KNOW NOT HAPPINESS"
I didn't really know what the words meant, but it felt true in the writing of it. I painted it on my "hippy" van after finding myself living in it, with my Twin, our two cats and our (at the time) recently deceased Grandpa's toy poodle dog; panhandling in the winter cold of Colorado... no direction but the desire to enjoy life any way we could.
Enjoyment became synonymous with gratitude and appreciation.
The cold nights were best when appreciating the warm cuddles of our critters. The powerfully potent disapproval and sometimes hate of strangers was best heard and endured when focusing on the feelings of gratitude and sometimes awe of those giving to answer my call for help. The showerless weeks were best when laughing about smelling like pack, as in our animal family. The immobilizing snow was best when indulging in a chance walk about with my cat—who wasn’t the least bit deterred by any of it.
Having to walk across icy parking lots, and spend spare change to be patrons, for the use of indoor plumbing to go to the bathroom, was best when appreciating the chance to stretch our legs, to have fresh fruit for breakfast, to warm up indoors, to sit on a toilet to pee…
The better we felt being ourselves in that state of transition we considered ourselves to be in, the easier it seemed to be to run/walk/drive right into the opportunities we were seeking, needing, wanting to evolve from where we were.
I started to make sense of those words that seemed to pop right out of my soul to answer the question I’d been asking for so long…
How do I become a happy person?
The words meant choosing the better thoughts… choosing appreciation over degradation or depreciation.
It meant… if I couldn’t find a way to be happy with “nothing” then I’d never understand what it meant to be happy.
Since that moment of understanding, I’ve been practicing my appreciation even in the doing of dishes, laundry, cooking, and grocery shopping, for doing these things means having these things.
So.. if you REALLY want to know what Happiness feels like.. start by learning how to appreciate everything you can. Learn how to feel appreciative of even “bad” things in your life and it’s a quick road to feeling the happiness that follows.
Happiness doesn't happen without appreciation. If you're lacking happiness, you're lacking appreciation.

Our stare
The invisible winds
That draw a lover’s eyes
Down to flood this desert inside,
Drink, drink, sand.
Freeze that stare,
As the water begins to bubble inside,
Feel that the trickle
trickling,
trickle,
drip
drop
Through your wordless pupils
Might in this stare tip you empty into me,
That I overflow into you, air
Into me
You into
Me into
You into
Two flooding waters
Indistinguishable,
Tipping,
Breathe.
Happy moments
the pens of authors tend to bleed
rather than sing with rapture
happiness lacks the layers
that the dark posses as their own
yet the simplicity
that is what makes it
some kind of magic
for a moment you’re
living in the moment
because how could you
feel, think, dream
of anything more than
right now?
because you’re sitting around
with the people you love
listening to that song
and laughing about nothing
where else would your mind
Rather wander?
Feelings
A long time ago I lost the ability to feel happiness, but I discovered that by making other people happy I could find happiness within myself and it encouraged me to do better things for myself because I felt like I deserved it. Happiness is self definite and there's no absolute way to find it or have it, because not everyone can be happy with the same things. Explore yourself and find what makes you happy! Try different hobbies that are productive, like cooking, making any kind of art, or exercising. Sometimes just being fine is happiness, because sometimes it's all you can ask for. Meditate, think, do anything you can to make yourself feel better because that's the feeling you deserve!
Happiness is the world
Happiness takes the form of what beholder believes it to be
For some it may be family and friends
For others it may be a good book or meal
For the rare few, however happiness is the world
It is watching the soft droplets of snow fall down to earth out of the window at midnight
It is gazing up at the stars, alone with the universe until dawn
It is sitting in the backyard letting the sun tan your skin and watching it set
It is running barefoot through the grass, picking flowers and dancing like no one is watching
It is standing in the rain, eyes closed, feeling nature do its work on your hometown
The world can be a cruel place, but if you just brush its cheek, kiss its forehead,
You can experience the happiness it has to offer
