An impossible paradise
I believe :- Island time does not relate to me, If I call a meeting at 10am everyone will come.
I believe :- Island planes will leave at the time scheduled, and go to the destination on the departure board
I believe :- those little flashing lights on the side of a car are there to tell you which way it is going to turn
I believe :- in the green flash, but I've never seen it yet
I believe :- Albatrosses carry the souls of drowned sailors to paradise
I believe :-the mermaid who lives in our bay is right, I should put this up on Prose
well one of those might not be impossible, time will tell
A vision, a warning.
I was in the bathtub when I saw her. She appeared in a vision, and she was as old as a dinosaur. “I dated Morgan Freeman once,” she said. “He bought me a foam finger at one of those games, but don’t let him fool you. He made me pay for dinner.” I heeded the warning as the vision disappeared. This bathtub must be magic.
Half Light
if I was to say
I want this
if indeed
there is ‘this’
will you leave
or stay
to let me read those lines
between the script?
etched by touch
to flesh your bones
I know to
rest my eyes
would close that book
but for now
you are contours and curves
angles and ridges
strange worlds
I reach to
not claiming
or longing to define
if I see you
in half light
will you move
into shade?
or blind me
with color?
I seek myself
in you
though not at depth
just a surface touch
to prove that I'm real
perhaps....
one
a myth
the
other
a dream
