Conclusion: The Battle Simulation Ends!

The Pirate raced back to Essie upon Wasila's threat to his unconscious ally, deflecting laser blasts that his foe was firing at her. The laser projectiles stopped coming once the Pirate reached Essie. Now protectively standing in front of his comrade, the Pirate turned to Wasila's direction, and noticed the AI panting and sweating.

"You may have gained access to stronger versions of my swords, but your ability to properly use them appears to be limited. I am betting the same is true of the magic abilities you have been absorbing from Cerissa and Essie. The increase in power has been giving you an advantage up to now, but it is beginning to take its toll on you."

"Congratulations, you figured me out." Wasila smiled in spite of her exhaustion. "Unfortunately for you and Essie, you have reached this conclusion too late. There is something I believe you have forgotten Pirate, and that will cost you dearly."

"I don't think so!" The Pirate replied heatedly, firing a laser blast out of each of his swords at Wasila. Too exhausted to counter, both blasts sliced through her chest. Fatally wounded without any remaining healing tricks, Wasila fell backwards into the sand. With the last of her strength, she raised her right arm into the air and said her last words.

"I can stack powers that I absorb. And I still have Essie's fire."

Flames shot up from the sand and rapidly absorbed the Pirate and Essie. Wasila smiled before succumbing to her injuries, bringing the simulated battle to an end.

The Pirate (back in his normal Mitch form), Essie, and Wasila woke up on beach towels, each listening to peaceful waves in the ocean while feeling the gentle warmth from the sun. Despite losing their lives in the simulation, they were all fully healed and safely back in the hub of the Training World. As the trio sat up, they observed Cerissa, Janet, Rick, and Tate running over to greet them. Each of them were dressed in swimsuits, and all of them appeared completely unharmed, despite their own deaths earlier in the training battle.

"Welcome back guys!" Tate said excitedly. "I see you are already dressed for the beach babe, but Mitch and Essie, you should get beach ready too! We have swimsuits available in the shop for you both, on the house of course! Let's all enjoy the amenities here for a bit, then we can reflect on our recent showdown and discuss it!"
